2022 Jeep Wrangler Review

The Jeep Wrangler has four engines for drivers to choose from. It comes standard with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 3.6L Pentastar® V6 with ESS (Engine Start/Stop) technology. This ensures you have 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque at your disposal. Together, this powertrain achieves an EPA-estimated 17 city/23 highway MPG.

The 2.0L Turbo engine with ESS is available with an 8-speed automatic transmission and produces 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. This engine earns an EPA-estimated 21 city/24 highway MPG.

There’s also an available diesel engine with an incredibly high torque output, the 3.0L EcoDiesel V6. While it only has 260 horsepower, it delivers a remarkable 442 lb-ft of torque to make off-roading a breeze. This engine even earns the Wrangler an EPA-estimated 22 city/29 highway MPG.

The 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine is also available with eTorque, a mild-hybrid system. This eco-friendly configuration produces an EPA-estimated 19 city/24 highway MPG, so you'll get to say goodbye to frequent fuel-ups.

Additionally, across all trim levels, the Wrangler's impressive towing capacity allows it to tow up to 3,500 pounds when properly equipped. You can load up the boat and be on the Susquehanna River in no time!
