2023 Dodge Hornet Review
2023 Dodge Hornet: Performance
The 2023 Dodge Hornet comes standard with a 2.0L Hurricane4 turbo engine that’s been paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. This allows the Hornet to reach power outputs of up to 268 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. It further features the KONI Frequency Damping Suspension, which uses a passive spring and bypass valve system to absorb shock to help keep your driving smooth when the road gets challenging.
The Hornet has multiple available suspensions to choose from, including the available Dual-Stage Valve Suspension. This works in tandem with your selected driving mode. For example, the suspension will stiffen to minimize body roll, which optimizes cornering control in Sport Mode or softens up during Normal Mode for a more comfortable and leisurely ride.
2023 Dodge Hornet: Interior
When you climb into the 2023 Hornet, you’ll find yourself surrounded by a stylish all-black interior with painted and crafted features. You’ll feel in control of an aggressive hornet taking aim at the road in this cockpit. The usage of quality metals and materials makes sure that the dashboard stands out for your convenience. This extends to the tunnel bezels and upper door panels, too.
On the base GT model, an available heated steering wheel can be added. This wheel warms up quickly, which means you won’t have to suffer from cold hands during the colder months. The materials used for the wheel are high quality and smooth to the touch. Navigating a vehicle never felt as good or easy.
The choice of how to start your Hornet is yours to decide with the standard console-mounted push-button start or optional remote start. You can start it with the remote start from the comfort of your house or climb into the cockpit and start it with a single touch of the console-mounted button.
2023 Dodge Hornet: Safety
Staying safe is a design mission for the 2023 Hornet. One of the first safety features you’ll encounter is the available Active Driving Assist. This uses the vehicle’s radar and sensors to automatically maintain a set speed and following distance from the vehicle in front. It can also help steer the Hornet on highways and main roads.
Another great feature is the optional Drowsy Driver Detection. This works by analyzing steering patterns and the amount of time you’ve spent driving. If it detects you’re drowsy or fatigued, it will send out an audible alert and flash an alert on the dash, encouraging you to take a break from driving.
