Local Spotlight: Patriots Cove

The mission at Patriots Cove is all about empowerment. They empower injured veterans and first responders to discover a new purpose for the next chapter in their lives. In addition to this, they empower caregivers by providing them with a network of support and valuable resources that they need for their own well-being as they care for patriots.

Patriots Cove is a non-profit organization that was founded by a veteran along with his spouse. We encourage our Tunkhannock, Dallas, Harveys Lake, and Kingston, Pennsylvania neighbors to continue reading to learn about what they do and how you can help.

A Picturesque Retreat

Patriots Cove is located on 18 acres and is surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. It consists of a lodge home, a pavilion, a fire pit, trails, fishing docks, rest areas, and an activities center. The fact that it’s all wheelchair accessible speaks to the welcoming atmosphere that permeates the property.  

Their Programs

There are three different programs that are provided by Patriots Cove. These are listed here:

• Environmental Service Program
• Outdoor Program
• Caregiver Community Program

They also serve as a host for several events. See below:

• Fishing Events
• Fish for the Fallen Tournament
• Ride for Patriots
• Wheels for Patriots

These events are exclusively for injured veterans, first responders, and caregivers. Not only are they free of charge, but all of the meals, lodging, and supplies are also included.
